On August 11th, in the children's health camp "Zhemchuzhina," within the framework of a cinematic session, the first workshops dedicated to animation and photography took place. The workshop leaders were students from the Sergiyev Posad branch of VGIK, Eva Samoylova and Yelizaveta Babakova. They introduced the children to the basics of character creation and visual storytelling through playful assignments.
The kids discussed personalities of underwater creatures, played out “sea scenes,” and received homework to imagine what kind of creature could become their friend or enemy.
They also learned about how Soviet actors influenced animation before drawing characters and developing storylines for them. The final result will be a short animated film featuring these created characters and stories.
Children showed great interest in creative tasks.
